Only a small percentage of the demand is covered by local production. As a result, anything that affects the transportation network like the current situation of Covid brings immense pressure on the government’s efforts to ensure the availability of essential commodities at reasonable rates to its people. UrvaraLife Agro Producer Company Limited (UAPCL) in its past form has a proven track record in effectively utilizing farming lands and other resources in producing the best possible results, thereby strengthening the state’s drive to be self-reliant in food production. Apart from farming rice, vegetables, and fruits, UAPCL will also be focusing on value-added products, farm consultancy, farm management, and experience-tourism in tapping the endless possibilities offered by Kerala’s natural resources.
